Stephen Lonie

Non-executive Chairman

BCom, MBA, FCA, FAICD, F Fin, FIMC

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant, with more than 38 years’ industry experience, and a former managing partner of the international accounting and consulting firm KPMG.

Stephen is currently a non-executive Director of Corporate Travel Management Limited (ASX: CTD) and MyState Limited (ASX: MYS) and the Chair of Jellinbah Resources Pty Ltd, a major privately owned Queensland metallurgical coal producer.

Luke Trouchet

CEO and Managing Director

LLB, IML

Luke was appointed CEO and Managing Director in 2001, taking over the management control of the business his parents founded, with his brother Karl.

Since that time Luke has lead the organisation through a strong growth period, expanding internationally into NZ, USA, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe. Luke’s entrepreneurial mindset has seen the business make a number of strategic acquisitions that have delivered strong financial performance, continuing to drive Apollo forward to become the Global RV Solution.

Karl Trouchet

CFO and Executive Director

BBus, MAICD

Karl was appointed as CFO at Apollo in 2001, taking over the management control of the business his parents founded, with his brother Luke. Karl’s position as CFO sees him manage all financial matters and strategic business planning.

Since 2001 Karl has been instrumental in driving the Apollo business forward developing and managing new initiates across all divisions of Apollo.

Sophie Mitchell

Non-Executive Director

BEc, GAICD, SF Fin

Sophie is an experienced professional in the financial industry and is a director of Morgans Holdings (Australia) Limited.

Sophie holds non-executive director roles in Silver Chef Limited (ASX: SIV) and Flagship Investments Limited (ASX: FSI). She is also a member of the Queensland Advisory Board for AustralianSuper, and is a board member of the Australia Council for the Arts.

Peter Jans

Company Secretary

LLB (Hons), Grad. Dip (Ancient History), MA

Peter is an experienced legal professional and has over a decade of ASX listed board experience. Peter was previously group general counsel and company secretary for ERM Power Limited (ASX: EPW) and Queensland Gas Company Limited (previously listed on the ASX), and general legal counsel for CS Energy Limited.

Peter is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.

Brett Heading

Advisory Board Member

BCom, LLB (Hons), FAICD

Brett is an experienced company director and corporate lawyer with many years of experience in corporate governance, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions. In February 2016, he joined the global law firm Jones Day as a partner. Previously, he was a partner and former chairman of McCullough Robertson since 1985.

Brett has been a director of many listed and unlisted companies. Mr Heading is also a former longstanding member of the Board of Taxation and was a member of the Takeovers Panel for over a decade. He has agribusiness and tourism interests in the South Burnett (QLD) including Clovely Estate and Barambah Station. 

Brian Gronberg

Advisory Board Member

Brian was a founding partner of CanaDream and retired in early 2019 as President and CEO after 25 years of service. Brian has been instrumental in the success of the CanaDream business.

Brian joined the Apollo Advisory Board in February 2019, and will provide advice and strategic direction on vehicle purchasing and RV Sales across the North America operations and other areas of the North American business.

Phil Degenhardt

Advisory Board Member

Phil is an IT practitioner and has worked on a diverse range of IT projects for the construction, manufacturing, finance and tourism industries.

He was involved with the Britz Rentals business and was group IT director. He sat on the board of advisors to the private owners of that business which was sold to THL in 1999. Since then, Phil has pursued private business interests and has a variety of IT and management consulting roles.

Phil is currently a director of Platinum Ray Pty Ltd.

Scott Fahey

Chief Operating Officer – Rental

BBus, Assoc. Dip Bus, MBA

As Chief Operating Officer – Rental, Scott is responsible for rental operations globally, with a focus on guest experience, maximising revenue through yield management and fleet optimisation, process improvement and overseeing Rental sales, both direct and agent business globally.

Prior to joining Apollo in late 2010, Scott held management positions at Dreamworld and THL.

Chris Rusden

Chief Operating Officer - Retail

BA, MBA

As Chief Operating Office – Retail, Chris is responsible to for overseeing all retail and wholesale RV sales globally, including dealer principals and corporate retail sales.

Prior to joining Apollo, Chris was the Director of Operations for Hertz Australia for nine years before joining THL Rentals as General Manager Operations in 2001, becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2003. Chris joined Hertz as Managing Director Australia and New Zealand in 2010. In 2015 his role was expanded and his responsibility increased to cover an extended region and operational complexity as vice president of Hertz Asia Pacific.

In 2016, Chris accepted the newly created role of Senior Vice President Mobility. This role saw Chris develop and implement Hertz’s global strategy. Chris has significant depth of experience in the car rental and travel industries, along with strong commercial and operations acumen. Chris was an Apollo Advisory Board Member from 2009 – 2019.

Paul Truman

Executive General Manager, Manufacturing and Product

As Executive General Manager, Manufacturing and Product, Paul oversees the operations of the Apollo Factories, in both Brisbane and Auckland, as well as product spec and compliance for all imported RV’s. Paul is responsible for all aspects of the RV product life cycle including concept, design, compliance and manufacturing.

With over 30 years manufacturing experience, prior to Apollo Paul held management roles across a range of functional areas with multi-national companies Cummins Engine and Texas Instruments.

Peter Wataman

CIO

Assoc. Dip Computing

Peter is responsible for Apollo’s digital strategy and technology operations globally.

Peter’s role sees him manage our customer facing channels and core business solutions, focussed on driving revenue growth and improved customer experience.

With over 30 years of industry experience in enabling business growth through the use of technology, Peter has held management positions in various organisations including Group CIO for Flight Centre Travel Group.

Sandra Foerster

Executive General Manager, People and Culture

LLB, MBA

Sandra oversees the strategic human resources direction of the Apollo group. With a human resources career spanning over 10 years, a law degree and MBA qualification, Sandra is experienced in aligning people strategies to company brand values and business outcomes. In her role she also ensures work health and safety compliance and oversees learning and development.

Kelly Shier

President of North America

B.Comm, CA

Kelly commenced her career in the RV rental industry in 1994, gaining experience in the guest services, fleet and accounting departments whilst studying at University. Over that period Kelly developed a passion for the industry and strong understanding of the business.

In 2003, Kelly was appointed CFO of CanaDream, proving to be an invaluable asset to the Company and then taking on further responsibility assuming the role as Chief Operating Officer in 2007.

As President of North America, Kelly will lead all commercial business operations in the North American region.

Keith Charlton

President of Europe/UK

B.A. (Hons) Economics

Keith co-founded Bunk Campers in 2007 and has worked in the business full time since 2009.

As the President of Europe/UK, Keith is responsible for driving business growth and overseeing all commercial operations in Europe and the UK.

Keith has significant international business experience across Europe and the Middle East having worked for over 20 years with multinational brands in the FMCG sector.

Stacey Davis

Executive General Manager, ANZ Rental

BBus, MBA

Stacey oversees all rental operations across Australia and New Zealand. With just under 20 years’ experience in the RV rental industry, Stacey is responsible for the ANZ branch network – implementing process improvement, fleet management, ancillary revenue management and vehicle scheduling.

Stacey’s role also leads a number of initiatives in the business, including the end to end guest experience and ongoing product innovation.

Daniel Kunzi

General Manager – Europe

Daniel is responsible for driving rental sales via our European distribution channels along with commercial operations and business development throughout Europe.

Daniel has over 25 years of experience in leading sales in RV businesses, both in Australia and internationally.

Prior to joining Apollo, Daniel held management roles at NQ Australia Rentals and Motouris.
